| The Lassi Hill Trail is a great introduction to Lassi which serves to remind you that there is always more to a resort than meets the eye.
The trail starts at the Church of St. Gerasimos where the patron saint of the island first lived in a cave. His bones can be seen in a cave vault in the Omala Valley, 10 km to the north.
Climbing up behind the church onto the ridge which separates Lassi from the gulf of Argostoli and the Koutavos lagoon, the trail meanders between apartment blocks before emerging into olive groves and countryside.
From here there is a really great panorama looking north towards Mount Enos and over the Koutavos lagoon. To the east, the castle of St. George can be seen atop its dunce's hat of a hill.
The trail makes it way back to Lassi via the village of Spillia named after the caves, a feature of the area.
Most visitors to the island always seem stuck as to where to go and what to look at. The Lassi Hill Trail will do more than just introduce you to this resort, it's sure to give you a taste for even more exploration further afield.
