| There is a tiny resort at Spartia, set some 2 kilometres from the original village of the same name. The accommodation is set just behind one of the two tiny beaches of Spartia. With only a few small apartment blocks and a couple of tavernas, Spartia is one of the more low key resorts on Kefalonia (Cephalonia). Most people come here for the sailing centre at Spartia. | There is not much to Spartia resort but it does have a pretty setting. The white sandy beach is back ed by towering white limestone cliffs. The village of Spartia, a kilometre up the hill inland, is a traditional Kefalonian village with colourful gardens and a little square. |

| The resort and beach at Spartia are kept reasonalbly clean. The beach is not a mojor one so not cleaned as often as some of the more industrial scale tanning spots. There was a little sea grass that had washed ashore when Friends of Kefalonia visited. There is another small beach, accessed via the sailing centre, which is used mainly to pull boats up out of the water. |

| The resort at Spartia is at the end of the road, so there is not much traffic down here. Take a torch to find your way back from the tavernas at night.

| Most people come here to go dinghy sailing and windsurfing, so do book at specific holiday first. Otherwise, there is not much to occupy you down at the resort of Spartia. The village is quite pleasant and worth a wander around but this is inland up a quite steep hill.
If you are staying at Spartia and not on a sailing holiday, a car would be recommended as the bus does not come down to the resort. If you want to see something of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) this is essential and you will find the whole of the nearby Livathos region just on your doorstep. | The resort of Spartia is not an original Kefalonian settlement, although there was a harbour here. The people of Spartia live in the nearby village. Havin said that, The accommodation is by no means in a sprawling resort, but low key and set amidst pleasant countryside. |
