The substrate of Foki bay is angular, flint-like grey pebbles and shingle. It is not overly attractive.

This is a very attractive, enclosed bay, with steep hillsides all around. A few small boats moor just off the beach in the warm, sheltered waters.

The beach seemed fairly clean and litter free when Friends of Kefalonia visited, save the odd bit of rubbish washed ashore.

Foki bay is about a five minute walk from Fiscardo, so if you are staying there it is fairly easy to get to. If you are elsewhere on Kefalonia (Cephalonia) , you will need a car.

The beach at Foki bay backs onto a small olive grove, which makes for a very pleasant cool retreat from the hot sun and a perfect spot for a picnic. Take something to sit on.

| There are no facilities right down by the beahc, but Foki bay is such as short distance from Fiscardo, a leisurely five minute walk. In Fiscardo there are numerous tavernas, cafes and shops where you can get anything you need. Make sure you organised that bank overdraft first though!
